Habitat for birds is always off, and thus it is that some of their natural food sources. Fortunately, in almost every supermarket find Seed wild-birds. But what kind to buy? Did the Cardinals have the same Wild Bird Seed, nuthatches do? These questions and get an idea of what to buy give, here is a list of more affordable and more birds seeds they eat. Remember that birds do not read these lists and have learned to adapt. In some areas, some of these birds have learned to eat or not there are some seeds on this list, but for the most part, they will be. Moreover, this list is not exhaustive for the bird that eats seeds.

Sunflower is available in two versions: black oil and striped. Striped varieties for human consumption, has a harder shell that can be difficult for birds to open and usually not as nutritious for the birds. Black-oiled seeds thinner and softer, making them easier to crack. They are high in fat and calories than striped. Make sure that the sunflower seeds of wild bird seed to get into the housing, as housing seeds will spoil quickly, so the bird damage. If you must use purified variety, with only what you can in one day or two to eat together.

Niger Seed Wild-birds enjoy the doves, finches, house finches, pine siskin and purple finches, redpolls, White – Throated Sparrows and especially putters. Not to be confused with beautiful thistle, which is very different plants? Will choose birds over Niger thistle seed, and it is more nutritious for them.

Millet Seed Wild bird is perfect for fattening – just spread on the ground finches, doves, sparrows and Juncos (only what they can eat in a diet). Use of white millet, unlike the Red millet, which is not opposed by a majority of the birds. Very cheap!

Wild bird seed “deal” of a mixture has a lot of filler, which will be wasted to try and ensure the seeds of wild-birds now in separate packages. Have fun with various kinds of seeds to try and see what birds you can attract!
