Owner of Orlando area’s only Black-owned dog groomer starts off support fund for lower-cash flow pet owners

ORLANDO, Fla. – Lashonda Geffrard states she operates the Orlando area’s initial Black-owned pet grooming salon.

Geffrard explained she’s usually experienced a massive heart for animals. Not remaining allowed to have pets of her very own as a kid, she said she commenced having care of friends’ animals — grooming them on the patio of her Pine Hills home.

Geffrard graduated from Evans Substantial School but did not have the prospect or funds to show up at the school she wanted, so she worked her way up in the pet business by receiving work at a variety of groomers and animal hospitals.
